A non-fiction storytelling of the slave Joe, who was held in prison until his master could pay the debt he owed to Mars Hill University. Over the years the story was dramatized at the school using black face and more. Using real interviews from the people that lived these moments and old documents from the past, this play exposes the ignorance and racism in the university setting in an attempt to make history honest and accountable.
